As a small kid I used to always fight for the window seat during our annual trips to my home town in Kerala. It used to be a 3 day journey through the states of Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and finally Kerala. And oh boy I used to love those journey! From the Western Ghats of Maharashtra, sun flower fields of Andhra to the paddy fields in Tamil Nadu, it used to be mesmerizing! I used to be completely glued to the window during the entire trip except for the loo breaks. Slowly as I grew up I upgraded from the window seat to the door! It was during one of these trips while I was lost in admiring the beauty of Mother Nature I realized that I had the solution to my problem. There was only 1 thing in common between sitting on the window seat and standing at the door, looking at the landscapes change and feel the wind on my face! Yes a bike could be my solution. As soon as I reached Kerala I begged my brother to take me for a ride on his Royal Enfield 350 for a 200km round trip. Well that was the start of riding for me! There was no turning back for me after that.
Although I had the bike bug in me from a very early age, riding to long distances never interested or probably came into my head before that trip to Kerala. I feel extremely lucky to have been bitten by the riding bug. Riding Dad’s 1975 Bajaj Chetak during school days to now owning a Honda CBR 250 RA, the journey has been amazing. Every kilometer had something new to offer. I hope to devote more time on the saddle and promise myself to never stop riding a motorcycle!
By being a part of a wonderful family called LOST, I’m sure I will be able to keep my promises!
